California Superbloom!
For the past decade, California has been thirsty. Specifically, the state has been experiencing the worst drought seen in centuries, and as a result, the landscape has been lifeless and brown. However, this year California has experienced a strong El Nino year. Thus, the California hills are green and full of flowers, and the state is currently experiencing a superbloom: one some say is the best of the past few decades. Thankfully, I live fairly close to one of the best wild flower preserves in the state: the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve.
